Hi emgs, I’m an international PhD student at UniKL. I want to bring my wife to Malaysia under dependent visa. For the marriage certificate, can it be attestated in Malaysian embassy in my country or it must be in the Nigerian embassy in Malaysia? I’m from Nigeria..the certificate is not currently with me, it’s in Nigeria. Thank you as I await your advise..also, how long does it take till the process my wife can travel down to Malaysia?

  Hi Fatokun Faith,
  
  The marriage certificate must be attested by the Embassy in Malaysia and the date of the Embassy’s stamp must be within the current year. There is no stipulated time frame for the dependent pass process as it depends on the submission of the documents.
