For getting stamp on your passport which make u eligible multiple entry to malaysia
You should because the eval is paper only and it’s not the student pass, the student pass is a sticker on passport like resident visa and you only get it once you pass medical check.
So u submit the passport to reach 100% in your application as the eval only 70%

Reach malaysia
Do medical test
Medical test is ok then give passport and wait
If this correct , could we expect the duration for all this process
And also is there any job to be done with institution during this period?
Yes correct
Usually from 3 weeks to 1 month, but can be longer it depends.
Only give the university your passport and finish registration and issuance of student card.

Students need to undergo post- val medical screening once enter Malaysia with VAL and requires to submit their passport to the Institution to obtain the student pass sticker from the Immigration Department.
