Dear EMGS, What do you mean by extend the validity of passport, it is not expired yet and we can just apply for a new passport when it is less than 6 months validity here??I can ask later for a new one anywhere. It takes time then my application Will stop till that time. What should I do? I will be too late for study. Please help

  For a new application, as per the Immigration Department requirement, the student must ensure to have a passport validity of at least 18 months.

    The problem is here we can not ask for a new passport till it is still just 6 months validity, but my passport is more than 13 months validity, which means I have to wait for 7 months to ask for new one. What should I do then? I will be too late for study.

      Maybe a letter from university can convince them to renew earlier for you.
      For my country in some cases they accept to renew even if more than 1 year
