I have recently heard that student with expired pass will not be allowed to return on social visit pass from 1st April 2023. If this is the case then how can a student whos pass has expired for almost a year can return for study.
Note: Student went back to home country last year due to medical reasons ( Cancer treatment)and visa was expired and meanwhile and now wants to return to resume studies. Kindly give information how he can return and resume studies.

Hi Munawar,
Beginning 1st April 2023, all international students with an expired student pass will not be allowed to enter Malaysia using a social visit pass and renew their student pass. As such, they are required to apply for a new application and obtain a new Visa Approval Letter (eVAL).

So will they be able to resume thier degrees from same spot or start the degree and do all courses again
