Dear EMGS,

I submitted my passport on 9 March for visa renewal. EMGS received it on 15 March and started processing on 16 March. My current status is 80% and still shows pending on the immigration. My visa will expire on 28 March. Will there be any issue if I don’t receive my passport before 28 March with renewed visa? In addition , I need my passport to apply for a visa to travel from Malaysia. Kindly update me in this regard.

  Hi Arafat Chowdhury,
  
  Please be informed that the Student Pass endorsement process takes 14 working days from the date we submit the Passport to the Immigration Department. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.
  
  There is no issue if the student pass is expired when your passport is with the Immigration Department for the student pass endorsement approval.
