Dear EMGS Officer, My student visa expires on December 15th and originally my internship was supposed to end on December 8th. My plan was to leave Malaysia on Dec 14th. My passport expires on January 2021.
BUT My internship got delayed due to CMCO to next January becuase of which I had to send my passport for renewal before I can send student visa renewal to emgs.
Now, I dont have the updated passport with validity of more than 18 months as it is still on process at High Commission and will not be ready before 15th Dec when my visa expires.
what do you advise me to do next in this situation?

  Hi Umme,
  
  Please note that at present, the Immigration Department is allowing students to renew student pass if their pass expires from the 01st of February 2020 onwards. Once you have renewed your passport, kindly refer to your institution to proceed with your renewal application.
