Dear EMGS officers,
I am a Bangladeshi student accepted at UPM for PhD in Finance Programme for October 2020 intake. At present my EMGS application status is showing 32% completed and says “We are in the process of submitting your application to the Immigration Department of Malaysia for approval”, since 15th September 2020. Can I expect that I can start my PhD study through online as my country is included among the 23 countries who will not be able to enter Malaysia as new student ? I would appreciate your reply as it will help me a lot for planning my further studies.

  Since you already have the EMGS approval letter, it means you are eligible to enroll for online classes. Kindly liaise with your institution directly for further assistance with regard to the registration process.
