Hi EMGS, I have finished my Masters program at University of Malaya, here in Malaysia this year, but couldn’t travel back because of COVID19 pandemic, I have applied for PhD at the same university (expecting admission offer letter next month) and I still have a valid visa till March next year, 2021. Do I need to travel back home to renew visa for PhD or it can be done from here, since I’m currently in Malaysia. Thanks

  Since you are progressing to another course level, you can be in Malaysia during the processing of the application. However, you are required to shorten the current pass. Kindly refer to your institution for further details.
