Hello EMGS!
I’m a student of Taylors University, and i joined the March 2020 intake. I’ve had my eVAL and eVISA ready but due to the lockdown, i haven’t been able to travel to malaysia. This semester is being conducted online, and it ends on 27th July. I plan to travel to Malaysia sometime in mid August, and resume my second semester while residing in Malaysia. However, my eVISA has expired as i got it back in February 2020. Will it be possible for me to travel to Malaysia next month(August)?

  Hi Wamic,
  
  You are required to enter Malaysia with both a valid VAL and SEV/eVisa. Since the eVisa expired, you are advised to proceed to the Malaysian Embassy to obtain a Social Visit SEV. The respective Embassy
  or High Commission may consider the request based on the justification provided to them.
  
  In addition to the Social Visit SEV, you must also ensure that you obtain the approval letter to enter Malaysia from the Director-General of the Malaysian Immigration
  Department.
