Dear EMGS,
I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student. As per the EMGS visa renewal guideline, I have applied for the renewal well ahead of time. I have applied for my student visa renewal on 02/01/2020. Since 04/02/2020, my passport is in EMGS. So far, the renewal status shows 80% of the progress. So far, I know the stipulated time frame is also finished. My wife has been hospitalized since 16/02/2020, which I have informed in my last email to EMGS (CASE:1052427), and I have to go back to my country as soon as I can, but under this situation, I need EMGS kind assistance and support to expedite the process. On humanitarian grounds, please help me to speed up my visa renewal issue and get back my passport. We all have family and know the importance of it; hope EMGS will assist me in this. I am eagerly waiting to get your assistance. Thanks

  Hi Md Suliman,
  
  Your passport is still in progress with the Immigration Department. The endorsement process takes approximately 14 working days. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. Kindly send supporting documents with regards to your wife’s medical issue, in order for us to we highlight the urgency of your case.
