Yes he is applying for Phd. This is the 3rd time he is applying for visa, he canceled his 1st visa before coming back from Malaysia, the second visa he didn’t go to Malaysia in the first place (he applied then canceled after a while because of situations here in Iraq), the third time is now. But when he was in the process of this last visa they told him his second visa hasn’t been canceled yet which was a shock because he did really cancel his second visa long while before trying to apply for the 3rd time. Then they canceled it for him during his 3rd visa process but now it’s stuck and we don’t know the reason…
I’m sorry that you’re facing this problem but student visa is a very sensitive matter! I highly doubt he can go to malaysia now! Since his application is on hold since 3-4 months as you said his second visa was given in 45 days so this is the third time application which is very doubtful for the immigration department! That’s why they have kept it on hold! Either in this situation either you apply to a different country or maybe wait for 1 month more! There’s nothing more you can do
Thank you very much. I am sorry that this is happening to us as well. But my husband has a support letter from the Iraqi Embassy in Malaysia that he couldn’t travel for the second time and he came back from the first time due to political and economic issues here in Iraq at that time. I mean he didn’t do that on purpose and he didn’t even know that visa matter was a sensitive matter in Malaysia. Thank you so much again for your clarification and taking time to respond to us, we appreciate it a lot.
The application has been put on hold as we require the institution to refer to the Immigration Department for clarification on the applicant’s details. Kindly liaise with the institution and request that they proceed to the Immigration Department. We will request the institution to submit supporting documents indicating that the issue has been resolved.
Thank you for the clarification. Can you please tell us which institution you mean? (IIUM the one we have applied for studies now or UUM the previous university which we canceled it’s visa)?.. . Because as far as we are informed IIUM has submitted the supporting documents about more than 2 weeks ago…
@sara_34 Kindly liaise with IIUM as that is the current institution the applicant is enrolling with. Based on our records, there are no additional documents that were received from the institution 2 weeks ago. We advise that you follow-up with IIUM for further assistance.
Dear sir, we checked with IIUM institute and they insist on that they have made contact with and sent the required documents to the IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT. What shall we do? And is immigration department different from EMGS or they are both connected?… Kindly need your consultation.
@sara_34 If the documents have been submitted to the Immigration Department, we advise that you follow-up with the institution directly for further assistance. Kindly note that the Immigration Department and EMGS are 2 separate entities, with different functions.
Hello, since his status is still yellow means that nothing was done from the institution. Ask the university again because emgs will not help you..
We also do not understad this, his status in the emgs app is 30% green but when we check on the emgs site it’s 30% yellow.
Did your husband came back without cancelling student pass and is he applying again?
No he canceled his visa before coming back to Iraq. Then he applied to an other university and an other visa.
Then there must be a problem as this is not fair as your husband has cancelled the student pass before coming to iraq! Is he applying for phd?
If your husband has cancelled his pass why was his student pass active when he applied again?
