It’s raining, it’s pouring, your day feels really boring. Sound familiar? When the forecast is grim, whether it’s thunderstorms or a blizzard, cabin fever can set in fast. You can curl up with a great book or binge-watch an entire season of something, but, let’s face it, sometimes you want different, fun things to do at home.
1. Try out yoga
Who said being active could only happen outdoors? Try your hand at some indoor yoga, where your body will bend and stretch, working towards a healthier, and much more flexible you. Exercise also releases endorphin, triggering an explainable feeling of happiness and positivity, leaving you feeling super fresh and also super joyful.
2. Learn to cook
Learn to cook your favorite meal. This only applies if you don’t know how to cook. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to create and eat your favorite meal at any time without ordering or having someone else cook for you?
3. Spa
A massage or facial is great anytime, but for some reason, it feels like a waste of good day getting treatments when its gorgeous outside. If its miserable outside, its the perfect reason to get some self pampering done.
4. Cafe Hopping
Sometimes it’s more about the food, and sometimes it’s more about whether you’re going to acquire Instagram-worthy shots at the end of the day. So why not spend a rainy afternoon at some of the most gorgeous cafés in town and sip on some delightful coffee – a lazy afternoon but photogenic at best.
5. Explore museums and galleries
Feast your eyes upon stunning architecture and give your interpretations of contemporary art as you explore a museum or a gallery on a rainy day. You can learn about your heritage, gain deeper insight into your traditions and culture, and also have a really great time exploring the wonderful architecture museums usually possess.
