I can relate it’s been over 2 months for me. You can email the emgs as much as you want and they reply you with the same thing “It’s in the discretion of immigration”. And yes it’s getting annoying. No one knows why new e-Val is being given to new students under 3 weeks period while the extension is taken well over a month 🙄. Gg EMGS🙃

I have only 5 months to study in Malaysia, but still haven’t got eval. pls, do something plz. Be responsible. Dont ruin my future. I also have to do research. If I do not arrive Malaysia to do research on time, it will be all of your responsibilities. @emgs

Please note that there is no stipulated time frame for the VAL extension process. If the documents submitted are complete, the application will progress accordingly. If the documents submitted are incomplete, we will require additional documents. However, the approval will solely be at the discretion of the Immigration Department.
