If you are still in your home country while the status is still 80% and you haven’t performed the Single Entry Journey. It will remain like that. The status would move from 80% as soon as you initiate the process of the issuance of your long student pass – Multiple Entry Visa upon entering Malaysia.

If you are in Malaysia already. Then, you are expected to complete your post arrival medical screening within 7 days and submit your passport and SEV with other required documents to EMGS in order to be able to continue your application towards getting your student pass. I suggest you liaise with the visa unit of your institution on this.
