Inquiry Regarding Visa Expiry and Special Pass

Dear EMGS Officer,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek clarification on my visa situation. My current visa is set to expire on March 26, 2024. However, due to my exchange program in Japan from February 28, 2024, to March 12, 2024, I will be returning to Malaysia on March 12, 2024.

Given the proximity of my return date to the visa expiry, I am concerned about potential issues upon re-entry. Could you please advise if there might be any complications?

Additionally, in the event that I am unable to renew my visa within the stipulated timeframe, could you provide information on the cost of the special pass?

  Kindly note that you may enter or exit the country as long you are holding a valid student pass. Note that a renewal application can be made as early as 3 months before the student pass expiry date. In the event your student pass has expired during the process of your renewal application, you will be advised to apply for a Special Pass. With regard to the special pass application process, documents required, and fees, we advise that you refer to the institution accordingly.
