If you come from a SEV required country then you need to apply it first from nearest malaysia embassy in your home country then apply SEV with your TA approval

Same for China. Apply for SEV from the Malaysian Embassy in your country and make sure you have an approved Travel Authorization

If your student pass has expired, you may be required to apply for a Single Entry Visa for Social Pass (Depending on your nationality) prior to travelling to Malaysia. Please check with your Malaysian Mission for more information on this matter.
