No, I got to 35% in about a week or more. But at 35% it got rejected. Later my college appealed and it was processing. But at 60% appeal was rejected by immigration.
Yes, I visit Malaysia often and as a Maldivian I get on arrival visa. Never faced any issue.
However, for my bachelors – it took over an year for VAL approval and I decided to quit…[Read more] -

@Ahmed Hadad. Thank you for your concern. My VAL was rejected at 35%, without any reason given. I have been trying repeatedly to solve whatever issue it was. My university appealed for my VAL and after waiting for over a month, my VAL appeal was rejected today. Still no reason given. Nor my university or EMGS has any clue why it’s rejected. Only…[Read more]

They they approval of val is at the discretion of immigration office only which means it’s confidential and immigration will not let anyone know.

Tell us what’s in the remarks section. Did you have any problems prior or while getting to 35%? Also, how long did it take you to get there? Were you in Malaysia before?

@Faraz anwar: Please stop judging before blaming me for complaining. You have no idea how much I have to go through to get this VAL. Secondly, me and a friend both finished degree from same college, did medical from same hospital and applied for VAL together. Her one was approved a month ago. But they refuse to approve mine. And I believe it’s my…[Read more]

With my personal experiences for past 2 times, I won’t recommend anyone to go Malaysia for higher studies. Reason: Malaysian Immigration Department and their unknown reasons for student visa rejection. Seriously, it usually depends on the mood of the official dealing with the visa. If their mood if bad, beware, your documents will have some…[Read more]

My VAL was rejected at 35%. After several attempts to know the reason, I was not given any. But my university appealed for VAL again- and after 3 weeks of patient waiting, today I was notified that my VAL appeal have been rejected at 60%.
Still no reason given.

Same situation I faced as well. My university appealed for me, and now it’s at 50% – processing. It’s been 10 days since the university appealed and the color changed to green (processing). It can still be rejected by immigration. So just praying to god that things go well this time. Do check whether the percentage color change or not.. if not,…[Read more]

My VAL was recently rejected as well. Upon trying continuously to know the reason, I was jus being told that “it’s confidential”. But if you have a helpful university, it’s better you ask them to appeal again to immigration via EMGS. University have to contact and try to resolve whatever issue there is. University will have to contact you, and if…[Read more]
