I got the visa renewal approval, the travel authorisation and the single visa entry. But I have a question: does the renewal of my student visa mean I am insured? If after the quarantine I test covid positive, do I have automatic medical insurance through the renewal process or should I buy insurance in Malaysia before coming?
I am worried and did not know where to find this information.

    Hi Md Sharif. My visa expired a year ago. I got TA in 14 days and the visa renewal letter in around 10 days.

  No brother, you have to bear all the cost if you get Covid in Malaysia…

    Thank you Hasan. For some reason, I thought the renewal fees are inclusive of covid insurance.

  If you are tested positive, MOH guidelines will be applied and the relevant authorities to the Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel will be in charged for it
