Hi EMGS Officer, please how long does it take for the immigrations dept. to decide on a Travel Authorization for returning students? Mine has been with them over a week now. Is this normal? I have valid visa and student pass.

Yes I mean is it because it is taking too long or your intended date of travel has passed? I’m also still waiting for travel authorization.

If you are changing course or institution, you may apply for a Variation application through your institution. You may refer to your institution or email us your full name and passport number together with your enquiry to enquiry(at)emgs.com.my for more details regarding this matter.Thank you.

Please note that the decision to approve the travel authorization is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. Therefore, we are unable to provide you with an exact time frame for the approval. Rest assured, your institution will be notified on the progress of your application.
