I’m Amy from batch DHM 089. I’m one of International student from Vietnam. My Student Id is 2772/DHM089/0115.
I’m doing my internship now at St Regis Langkawi until 12 August 2017.
I have serious problem about my Visa Student that really need your help thus I email to you. It was a long story.
My Visa Student was expired on 14 February 2017. Before that 2 months I already contact with Mr. Alex Lau to help me process about this. I submitted it on 13 December 2016, also highlight for Alex my situation that I will back Vietnam for Chinese New Year on 14 Jan 2017 and after that I will take direct flight to Langkawi for my Internship on 4 Feb 2017. I asked Alex please highlight my situation, together I send him my offer letter from St Regis Langkawi and my airline ticket as well. But the end of the day, before my flight back Vietnam one day 13 Jan 2017, Alex returned passport to me and said he can’t make it. But Alex promised to me that before 14 Feb 2017 Mr Alex Chang will come Langkawi and collect passport from me, and return it before 14 Feb also. I was believed on that.
Until 8 Feb 2017, I didn’t heard any inform from Alex. When I asked Alex, he said he will ask Mr Alex Chang again and let me know. 13 Feb 2017, before my visa expired, I asked once again, no reply from him. 14 Feb 2017, I asked once more time, Alex was reply my message and said that Mr Alex Chang will be not coming to Langkawi to take my passport. 15 February he asked me to courier my passport. I said I’m new here and I don’t know the way, also my passport was expired I’m not confident to go out alone. I have asked some staff here when they went back to KL to help me bring back but they refused because Passport is important document and It was expired as well.
Until 18 Feb 2017, Alex send me email about letter said that my passport was hold by EMGS for me to bring along. And asked me send document by GDEX once again. I mentioned for him once again my situation and ask him for the responsible.
7 March 2017, one of my friend visit me at Langkawi and I asked him to bring back my passport to Kl. 8 March Alex came and collected. I asked Alex please help me to process as soon as possible because LIMA event will coming soon at Langkawi, police is everywhere and the resort may ask my passport for doing my staff id go in and out during that event. 18 March, 22 March, no reply from him. 23 March he said that they’re doing he special pass for my passport first as the expire date has been expired. And so on and so on. Until now 5 April I don’t get my passport back yet!!!
Dear Mr Francis,
I understand that Visa for student is responsible of me and I tried to respond all the require on time. Also I know college is not doing this, EMGS is the one doing this. But at least College let me know what’s going on over there so everything not become too late like this.
As a foreigner student, alone here at Langkawi, everything was new with me. And do you understand for me that I’m alone here with no issue belong? I even not going out at night because I scared police will ask about my passport. I know Alex was try his best, but I wish everything not come too late like this so that I’m not on this situation.
Mr. Francis, I have never talked with you before but I’m very respected you on the way you closed with student, and listened to us.
I wrote this email not to complaint or anything. I just hope you will read this and help me to process the visa as soon as possible.
