Visa renewal is not compulsory if you are not coming back to Malaysia soon. If your application went cold for three months, it is deactivated. Before you plan to travel, liaise with your university to see how you could reactivate the process.

Your passport is possibly still at your university malaysia immigration is closed now they can’t give you the visa now . Your university can only send the passport to the immigration once the immigration reopens . So in short your passport is still at your university ~

Please note that normally it will approximately 14 working days from the date we submit the passport to the Immigration Department for the student pass endorsement process. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Kindly note that Renewal applications can only be created and submitted by your Institution.

EMGS Malaysia Immigration Department at Menara TAOne will begin accepting passports from 15th June 2021.
