Hello, Manisha I am also from India, I was in same state when the visa processing started, you can refer my journey in http://www.shruthi.blog but my university took care of e-val. I was left helpless in middle of getting the single entry visa. Anyways, I can help you to the best of my experience

Hi Abid and Ahmad Afgani friends in my university told he just traveled with the VAL he didn’t apply for SEV. He said VAL is enough for persons with afgani passport

Okay she said that Afghanistan is not in SEV list so just get a VOa stamp and come on VAL

Okay mam one of my university member said that u dnt need any SEV just come on VAL because all the students who have afghani passport they all are coming on VAL so like if u just comfirm me with that
