I am in same boat. My SEV is valid but eVAL expired

Wow, we are on same page. My SEC is valid why my Val expired. When I applied for Val extension it was rejected at first because of passport validity not up to 18 months. So I have to go renew my passport and submitted again. I’m really worried about the SEV

Omg. How long you waited last time for eVAL?
For me, i had SEV before but deferred my semester on medical basis. Got a fresh SEV and wanted to travel on last day of eVAL expiring but my university international office advised to get eVAL extension So i am waiting now and my SEV will expire on OCT 7. So don’t know really -
I got my VAL in 4 days last time, that was February 14th

So, each time after getting extension, you didn’t go to Malaysia and just waited its expiration?

Yah you got it right but you know short story when I apply for first time the covid comes and when I apply for second time my country Pakistan was in a ban list for travel due to covid situation in my country and this is third time when all things are sorted but it was taking around 1 month or more

My eval get expired in endemic phase i applied for eval extension on 12/08/2022 its nearly one month passed but there is no approval of eval till yet..I want to know that why Eval approval is taking so long now a days?

If you got SEV already, you follow the date on the SEV. VAL is no longer valid once you get the SEV.

You can apply for home quarantine but u must have a place to stay there like a room/ apartment.

I’m from Nigeria and I’m a student. Though I have been in malaysia for 4 years, I just finished my Bachelor degree last June and now I’m going back for master degree. I started my application January 3rd

It wholly depends on immigration if they want to approve or reject , normal if all good they will approve . What is your application color ? When was your submitted to immigration ?

It’s 35% with green color presently and it was submitted last Thursday

Normally takes 4-8 working days for approval .
You can expect approval within this week.-
I just received email now from EMGS, my Eval has been approved by the immigration

Please be informed that VAL extension must be applied through the institution. However, As per the announcement by the Malaysian Government, travelers from the following countries are restricted from entering Malaysia:
Bangladesh
India
Nepal
Pakistan
Sri Lanka
United Kingdom

Thank you brother, you know I waited so long for it. The problems and delays are from EMGS. My documents have never taken longer time with the immigration even when I was running my Bsc program
While submitted to immigration, if they need any additional Documents, do they inform us or we need to ask them???
You need to be emailing at least twice a week asking about your status. If there is any problem, they will inform you from there. If you don’t email, you won’t be notified
