you can opt for home quarantine but need to apply at least 10 days before your flight.
They require your flight details, vaccine certificate, travel authorization as well as your rental contract.
Make sure you have a valid address at time of applying.-
I have a valid visa pass so do I still need a travel authorization?

no you don’t. as long as your student visa is still valid, all you need is negative pcr test, quarantine documents and book a pcr on mysafetravel or pay for pcr on arrival

Hello Saeed. Unlikely for emgs to explain anything other than the guidelines already mentioned on their website.
Here is the information as I experienced it as an old student coming to Malaysia two weeks ago. Things might be different for students on home quarantine.

Hi Sayed,
Please note that at present, the 14 days quarantine is mandatory for existing students entering Malaysia. However, we are unable to advise you on the procedures for 2021. Rest assured, we will notify students and institutions if there are any changes on this matter.

Before you go to Malaysian embassy you should check if your country is available for e Visa I traveled a long way to Malaysian embassy just to know the whole Visa process can be done easily online.
