A total of 20 days. However the later part of the process was quick (from 35 to 80 percent); it took 3 days.

Thank you very much. It’s been a week since i applied for VAL. Waiting for approval from university. what should i do?

If you got VAL there isn’t any problem you can travel anytime.
Did you get SEV also. There is no issue legally, but keep in mind University will not provide accommodation before beginning of studies
SEV not required. Thank you
