To visit your home country which you carry it’s passport only flight ticket needed not even a visa. On order to visit abroad you need to get a visa for that. For instance.
I am from Pakistan and i live in k.s.a . To vosit Pakistan i just need to buy a flight ticket only but i do have a mutiple entry visa for Saudi Arabia.
