Ask your university to apply for you via my travel pass website, or it possible to apply by yourself,
When you go to my travel pass website click on Higher education institution (dependent)
Then read all the instructionsIt usually takes one week, maximum takes two weeks

How, do you know what documents ai need for a new spouse visa?? Do I need a bank statement? As currently I don’t even have Malaysian bank account 🤔

My travel pass is a permit to enter Malaysia, it is not visa, once your family arrive to Malaysia then you apply visa for them.
But there are some countries should get the visa and single entry from Malaysia embassy after you apply and get my travel pass.

Yes, its allowed for graduate students. However, there are some nationalities can bring their families if they are undergraduate students. I am not sure if these regulations have been changed after the pandemic. You can google it to know more about these allowed nationalities.
