Has any of you Internationals heard of the ‘Love is not tourism’ initiative here? It being a global group, trying to open up borders for unmarried couples having long-distance relationships, they held an online petition (10.000 signatures) for easing of bans in Malaysia and actually got discussions going in parliament. Furthermore, members of the initiative started reaching out to members of parliament via email and social media, asking to discuss the matter. And with success!

Sounds like such drastic measures are the only way if we want our voice to be heard. If you, my fellow new international students, want to truly let Malaysia know of our mental, financial, career struggle due to this absurd entry ban we could consider working together!
