Hello officer. My name is. Liu Haiyang. I am an international student currently studying in Malaysia, and my passport number is EL2597628. I currently hold a Master’s visa and am planning to continue my studies in Malaysia by pursuing a PhD. As I do not wish to return to my home country during this period, I have recently applied for a PhD visa. However, I have encountered a problem with my PhD visa application, as it requires a completion letter with “senate approval.” Unfortunately, I am unable to provide this document at the moment, as it will only be available at the end of September. My Master’s visa, however, expires on September 22nd.
To address this issue, I have submitted a completion letter issued by my faculty, though it does not include “senate approval.” I would like to inquire if this letter can be accepted temporarily, as my Master’s visa is about to expire. If not, I would appreciate clarification on whether it is legal for me to stay in Malaysia between September 22nd and September 30th, or if I need to apply for a special pass.
I look forward to your response.
