My visa is due for renewal on 6th August but am currently back to my country because I urgently had to attend the funeral ceremony of my beloved brother. The remaining 4 days will not be enough to renew my visa if I return to Malaysia on 2nd of August. I have been advised to allow my visa expire & apply for a single entry visa from my country to give enough time for my student pass renewal when I arrive. Is this correct? If so, do I need to process visa with reference at Malaysia immigration department as a continuing student before I apply for the single entry visa to enter Malaysia from my home country?

  Yes, that’s what VISA OFFICE told me.
  You can apply for single visa entry, then you submit your passport upon arrival.
