No. Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Malaysia.

Even if you are exempted from a visa, you will still be required to renew your student pass annually.

Regardless of being from a country that is exempt from requiring a visa, you are still required to renew your student pass accordingly. Also, do remember that you need to have a passport that is valid for 6 months after your last departure date.
