You have to get confirmation letter from your inistitute adressed to the insurance company usually emgs accepts three insurance companies axa, aia and dont remember name of third. The other document includes marraige certificate, birth certificateof child if applicable, filled proposal form. If child is less than 2 years then medical record (vaccination).

Passport and visa copy, they take 7 working days then inform you that wither app accepted or not. In case of acceptance you have to deposit fees of insurance. If you visit them personally they will provide you 15% discount.

Mine is axa i have visited for the dependant insurance so still waiting for confirmation letter from institute. By the way requirements for the AIA will also be same, its better to call them and get proper information before visiting them.
