Respected Sir/Madam,

I have received an Electronic Visa Approval Letter (EVAL) from EMGS, Malaysia to pursue Ph.D in Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Please let me know whether I should apply now for a Single entry visa (SEV) at New Delhi, India or E-Visa?

Actually there is a confusion, in the EVAL document it is mentioned that I should apply for a Single entry visa whereas it is mentioned in the website of the Universiti Sains Malaysia International Mobility & Collaboration Centre (IMCC) that I should apply for an E-visa.

The processing authority for E-visa is Malaysian Immigration and for SEV, it is Malaysian Embassy/High Commission New Delhi, India.

Please clarify.

  Kindly note that you may apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) at the Malaysian Embassy in India. Alternatively, you may also apply for the eVISA via an online platform. You can refer to the Malaysian Immigration Department’s website for further clarification regarding the procedures to apply for the eVISA.
