Dear EMGS officer!
As I changed my master program in institution and I started to change my Visa and I already submitted all 25 documents to ‎Putra International office for Visa change as Intra Variation. Now, ‎Immigration department sent me these notifications: ‎
‎1: Shorten the student pass and ensure the student exit the country.‎
‎2: Provide us with the latest exit stamp as proof that the student has exited ‎Malaysia.‎
‎3: Submit an amendment request form if you want to change the ‎application type to “new”.‎
These are the notifications, I received from immigration. Now, I have three ‎questions and please answer these questions and clear this issue to me:‎
‎1: If I exit Malaysia, will my existing status of Visa change be started to the ‎process or will I re-apply to the new application?‎
‎2: If I cancel my visa and exit Malaysia, will Immigration give me a VAL for ‎my new type of application and for coming back to Malaysia? Or will I apply ‎for new VAL outside the Malaysia?‎
‎3: Will my current study and semester not be disrupted? Because my online ‎classes are already started and ongoing, and I am a student of current ‎semester. As my master program is by coursework and if I miss this semester ‎then I have to wait for next year, because there are no new classes in each ‎semester.‎

  Hi Mohammadaman,
  
  Please note that below is the explanation for your enquiries :
  
  1) You would not be required to re-apply a new application. Your institution can submit an amendment request to amend your application type. Upon receipt, we will review and advise accordingly.
  
  2) You are required to shorten your current pass and exit Malaysia. Once the Immigration Department resumes processing VAL for students who are outside of Malaysia, your application will be submitted to the Immigration Department. However, the approval is solely at their discretion.
  
  3) If you have obtained the EMGS approval letter, you can study online from your home country.
