He can pay through Mysafetravel, or he should have cash to pay in the Airport for quarantine, around 3900 RM

Students are to complete the online payment for the quarantine and the COVID-19 Screening Test through MySafeTravel (www.safetravel.myeg.com.my) / MyQr application by MyEG (www.myeg.gov.my) and provide the payment slip at the international entry point upon arrival.

Kindly clarify with us if your friend is a student studying in an institution of higher education? However, the quarantine is handled by the relevant government agencies. Hence, you can refer directly to my MySafe Travel or MyEG for further assistance.

If you have an expired travel authorisation you have to ask emgs in an email to cancel it. Then you can submit an application for a new travel authorisation.
