since your visa is done you can travel anytime

My counsellor said that you can’t travel before May because your intake is for May. You can’t come in April.

did u stamp your passport from the airport as a student or a tourist?
eVisa isn’t valid to study in Malaysia. You should probably get a single entry visa from your country and go to Malaysia. Then you can apply for the student pass in Malaysia through your institute. You shouldn’t be in Malaysia without a proper visa.
You have to follow up with ur institution , check what they want .
