Yes, that means the visa hasn’t been endorsed yet and the pass with the Uni, but still contact them, they might manage some way for you to have your passport this week.

Contact your Uni, they can ask to submit by next week, supporting letter has about 2 weeks to send to immigration if am not mistaken.

There is no requirement of that sort from the emgs, but rather from the respective University you apply as of my knowledge.
