I have received my VAL on January the 21, and I went to the embassy some hours ago to apply for the SEV. However they just called me saying that they cannot process my SEV because in the letter EMGS has sent me (the VAL) it is stated that I have to go to a Malaysian embassy in Morocco. Hello. I had the same problem as you do. My uni contacted emgs for correction . The letter was submitted for correction on 27th December and I received Val on 17th January. I missed 2 weeks of class because of this so I’m applying for next intake.

If it’s like that it’s easier for you to come to embassy in Rabat than wait for correction, or call them to ask if you can just send your documents to them without going yourself

I will wait until tomorrow to see what my university and EMGS say/decide. Its hard for me to go to Morocco right now… 😐 i hope they can come up with a solution 🙏🏻 😖

I will advice that you go to Rabat, collect SEV n proceed to Malaysia, correction may take a lot of time, n you can miss classes.

Yes you need the sev anyway, I’m Moroccan too, I asked the embassy here that question, and I got this Email with documents I need to provide to get the sev in 7 working days:
