My VAL appeal have been in the immigration since 8th of September. Is there anyone who’s Val got rejected and when they sent the rejection letter there was no reason for the rejection? Mine is like that. EMGS tries to get the reason from the immigration but still 1 and a half weeks and no response at all. Immigration still didn’t tell what’s the reason. Did you contacted with your university ; mine also rejected and they say that my name is in a black list

I contacted my university several times. But still immigration didn’t state the reason for my rejection.. so still waiting for the reason. I think and hope that if my name is black listed they would have told me that straight away. Can u do anything? Cause ur name is in the black list?

I don’t know if we can appeal or we will start from the beginning, but I hope they can appeal because we don’t have time

Yup, thats true. Thats why im so worried. The last day to register is 17th sept… it was horrible news when i checked the status and it was red.

Hi Ida, one is rejection and one is pending!!! Every action emgs take they send messages so first u need to check emgs app notification when u r 100% sure what it says like (passport expiry, missing of academic docus) so then u need to direct contact ur university and tell them the case!!! Emgs don’t know us. They knows us through our university. Tnx

It is red color and said rejected from the immigration. I directly called to emgs and they said that first i need to wait the letter from the immigration and there might be a chance that i can still continue this application. Maybe cause of some docs are wrong etc. Never know. I just wish so so so much that i can continue proceed this application.

Just wait for the rejection letter, ask the uni for the reason if there are missing required docs just confirm with them and ask, and send it

Don’t worry. Just submit or email the required documents to ur institution(It must have already emailed u and asked u to submit the document). When u submit them to ur inst. , it will take about 2 working days then ur emgs application will state that it has received the documents and the progress will continue. when is ur registration?

I didnt get any email from um… but i already sent them the needed documents to the visa unit email, is it correct? Well the orientation date is 29th of this month and i would love to go there to get all the important information. But the last date for registration is 17th of sept.

yes, totally correct : )
I see, I think you u will get ur VAL much before the orientation date bcoz usually after 15%, the process becomes quicker. Today, my percentage increased to 70% so im only waiting to receive the VAL.

I am also going to UM. My val has been at 15 percent for 10+ days now. I really need it to move forward. School resumes tjis month end. @ida, at least you now know your status.
They should really make things fast-

Orientation and welcoming of students. But registration is in thr first week of Sept I presume. Are you both going for PG or undergraduate?

Don’t worry. It is not a problem. mine took more than 5 working days to get from 15 to 35 %. Did u apply for Postg. or Underg. ?

still at 35% since August/ 7th. I have an offer in postgraduate at UM/ MA in Linguistics. what major have u applied for?

Aah alright. I just hope it’s going to move to 35% before weekend cause emgs doesnt submit anything during weekends… But if not then the waiting continues hahah. Im taking Bachelor of education teaching english as a second language.

Aah im happy for u! So from 35 to 60 it doesnt take so long, thats very nice to know! Mine still at 15%… the first thing i do every morning is check my status hahah. English is lovely language and im looking forward to study it to bachelor’s level! Hahah yeah with UM shouldnt be problem:D Im from Finland, how about u?

Thanks a lot. 15 to 35 might not take longer than 6 days as for me. Only every morning! I check it up every hour haha. im from kurdistan region of Iraq. It is also great that we didn’t have to take pre-arrival screening.

Hahaha well yeah…. actually almost every hour or when i can get a little break from work haha. Aah thats cool! And yup, i was stressed about that cause first i didnt notice that the public uni students dont need any pre-arrival med screening. But i played safe and went to one. But only for weight/height/ eye sight etc.
