Just my two cents here. I do believe getting a student pass/val in any countries not just malayaia, should not cause a student an anxiety because it fears of rejections and the long delay of approval. It should be efforrless and easy. I see some students here expressing their worries, anxiety and fears over obtaining their VAL ans tbh, they should not be. Immigration and emgs doing their screening to make sure only genuine students comes but i see the delaying and long process makes it harder for some students. Giving “its entirely at the immigration discretion” is just adding up to the anxiety as we, students, have no idea if it is rejected due to clerical error on their side or its on our side although we make sure we followed every steps and procedures told by university and EMGS.
