sorry for missing your point. in this case, you need to go to your institute’s international students affair office to inquire, since they have already got your passport. in USM’s case, it usually takes two weeks or more to get your passport back after your submission.

when it is 80%, it means you are good to come to Malaysia. Just download the eVAL and take it to nearest Malaysian embassy to apply for your entry visa. the remaining 20% will be dealth with after you arrive at your institute. btw, I am in USM. which university you are going to? yknslly(@)gmail.com

sorry. I think you lost my point. Now I’m in UTM, and already got eval and I APPLIED STUDENT PASS… And other international student got 100% of status and they are going to get back their passport. But I’m still stuck on 80% . And my special pass will be available till 19th September..

I’m not sure but I don’t think so.. You can get special pass if you show your val and sev at the immigration center.(I heard just like this from emgs)

And I solve that question. I called directly to the emgs and they said I don’t need to go to KLIA ISAC for special pass. It’s also available to get special pass in Johor Bahru Senai Airport.-

EMGs is sending email automatically. So you will get the email until your problem is fixed.

same situation, i think we have to wait for our VAL, then apply to SEV.
I’m literally in the same situation like you. I contacted EMGS, and they told me they don’t issue a new Val for existing students
Similar situation with me few month ago, they said VAL and nly issued one time for new student. So i went to Embassy, talk to the officer and show them my communication with EMGS. That’s how i finally got SEV and return to Malaysia
I asked ny campus about this problem since I cant apply for SEV without VAL. Just show the embassy your EMGS progress and they’ll start your SEV.
