Since I’m a Bangladeshi citizen, it’s stated on my VAL that I should obtain it from the embassy in Bangladesh. But, I don’t live in Bangladesh, I live in Kuwait, in fact the last time I was in Bangladesh was more than an year ago.

It depends what the malaysian embassy in your country requires. I am from Pakistan and I got my SEV without the air ticket.

No I didnt apply through for sev through that. And I applied for sev around 50 days before my arrival date in Malaysia

I didnt receive sev yet. It will take a week longer. Sev validity is of 3 months

ooo..but in india SEV validity depends upon embassy.

Yes Abhijeet. It is similar in Bangladesh but, on average cases, we get a validity of 3 months.

Dear emgs officer, I applied to university of Malaya recently and got offer letter. Then I wanted to apply for VAL but both the visa Unit of um and emgs officers suggested me to get new passport as old passport had less validity (less than 18 months).
Now I got new Bangladeshi passport with 5 years validity.

Now I got completely new Bangladeshi passport with 5 years validity.

Do I have to upload all the pages of my passport? All the pages are currently empty as it’s new and I just received it. And is it OK if I upload the passport pages of old passport which has visa and travel history of other countries just to avoid risk? Together as one pdf during VAL application?

Yes. Pre medical screening is not required for VAL processing.

Yes I have valid residency visa, and for each year I have the visa sticker on my passport. Going to Bangladesh and then going to Malaysia does not make sense because I have lived in Kuwait for most time of my life. What is the reason they will deny entry.?
