Hi ikra,
Congratulations on the approval of your application. Please be informed that you are required to obtain the SEV from the Malaysian Embassy as stated in your eVAL. Kindly note that the SEV is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. Your eVAL and SEV should be valid upon your arrival in Malaysia.

Please be informed that students from India are required to obtain the SEV from the Malaysian Embassy stated in the eVAL prior to arriving in Malaysia. You will be required to provide the SEV and eVAL which are still valid at the point of entry in order to be granted with a valid pass.

Hello Abrar. The SEV would be valid for 3 months after issuance for Indians as well. Hope this helped.
No problem. Actually the SEV would be valid for 3 months but you cannot stay in Malaysia solely based on SEV for more than 15 days.

Hi Abrar Mir,
Kindly be informed that the SEV is valid for a period of 3 months from the date of issuance. You will be granted with a valid pass upon providing the SEV and eVAL which are still valid at the point of entry.
The validity period of the pass issued at the point of entry is entirely at the discretion of the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

I applied for computer science (software engineering). I also applied for UTM USM Monash but I got offer from Monash and UTM and UM. Finally I accepted UM offer

Well, here’s the unfortunate part for me. I talked with the visa Unit of um and they said minimum passport validity requirement is 18 months,which I don’t have. So I requested the Bangladeshi embassy in Kuwait to reissue my passport. They said they can give new passport by 22 July and only then can I apply for VAL. So, im not 100% sure if I can make it on time. By the way, you’re Bangladeshi right, so do you currently live in Bangladesh or elsewhere?
Oh man that is very unfortunate. But its fine. If things go smoothly after 22nd July you would need 3 weeks to get the VAL. Besides class doesnt start before 10th September. Yes I am in Dhaka (Uttara, more precisely) right now. But I realized I shouldn’t leave before orintation day because dorms would not be available.
