You should apply for eVAL extension. You should have about 2-3 weeks eVAL time remaining when you enter Malaysia otherwise immigration might have issues. I was in the same situation and my uni processed the extension through EMGS. Contact your university

Yes, once it’s submitted to immigration, an update will be shown. In my case, i asked uni on Aug 10 and i got EMGS update on sept 7 that its been sent to immigration for correction. Now i am waiting for the corrected eVAL

I applied for a eVAL extension last month because I am going to enter Malaysia on September 23.but yesterday I noticed that the application process had completed 100%, I emailed EMGS, and an officer replied that my application has been completed due to lack of required action from my institution, and my eVAL extension application have submitted to…[Read more]

When your university does not respond to the EMGS prompts, your file becomes inactive. Reach out to your university immediately to ask them to respond to EMGS so that your file is reactivated. No, you do not need to apply for a new val. Just ask the university to reactivate the process.
