No you can’t set a random address, as the immigration department sometimes checks your address if you really booked that place or not. If they find out it isn’t the correct place you booked, you’ll be in trouble.

Why are they issuing new val but not considering val extensions, this is really frustrating students… this is technically unfair. I am tired

It might be the new applicants are first in the list and those that are applying for val extension are way behind the list. So they see the new applicants first. This me guessing.

Whatever their reason is, its totally unfair.

Now what should we do? No one to contact that will help us, not even our respective insitutes…. we are waiting for so long and its irritating

As mentioned previously that there is no stipulated time frame for the VAL extension process as the approval will solely be at Immigration’s discretion. Your institution will be notified on the progress of your application.

I wish you were in our shoes to understand what we all are going through,new students are getting val approval and we are yet to get val extension… the whole application is taking a long duration, we are really frustrated and irritated, kindly look into consideration and grant us vAl extension as soon as possible please for God…[Read more]-

I haven’t book my ticket yet because of uncertain process of VAL and my travel pass. But without filling the form I can’t progress. So what if the estimated information that I give ( Date of Arrival, quarantine placement, expected date of checking out) don’t match up with real dates in the future? Can I change it later ? For me, the declaration of accomodation was the first step that my uni did. Emgs started the process and sent my application to immigration. Then they wanted some more documents (dont know which ones) which the uni sent directly. Now they need no more documents but the process is not progressive anyhow

Mine stuck at 60% for 3weeks now! Very pathetic, Malaysia Authority is a very insensitive. Very deceitful! I regreted choosing Malaysia as a studying destination!
