Oh alright. Ill be travelling on the 8th hopefully.. actually i didnt give full 21 day gap. I actually gave just 17 days. As there werent many flights in between. How long do you think its going to take for the approval? Also, i wanted to ask if the approval doesnt come until a few days prior to my flight can I still extend my flight to a later…[Read more]

Hi Gohar, I am new here, and also unfamilier with the visia process. My applcation is on 32% and got EMGS approval which I submitted to my institution (UM). Now, what will ne the next stage? Thanks in advance…

Wait for university reply. I have heard all the applications that are stuck will resume starting august 4.

This document is mostly regarding others who were previously exempted from hotel quarantine. International students have already been decided to go through 14 day quarantine at uni and govt designated hotels but this new announcement is emphasizing more on those who were exempted before. Those who were allowed to have self quarantine at homes.…[Read more]

But if you look at the document carefully the date in the heading is 24th July 2020.

Also if this document is released and refers to all travellers coming into Malaysia the International must also adhere to that. Which means that the hotels will be chosen by the government itself and we wont be allowed to opt

According to MOHE announcement on 18th of july, 2020 Institutes will decide but 1 day before govt announced that they will be deciding upon hotel options for all but there is no such mention of International students.
But even so, universities are going to assist students to govt designated options only.

As far as I can recall, the government will not allow us to chose the quarantine hotel. We will be escorted via the airport to the hotel of their choice

Also, the prices are fixed for all non Malaysian citizen which is 150 RM per day

For International students it depends upon their respective universities to decide. I will post an update here if new announcement by govt has changed something.
