After your eval expired, inform your university they will apply extension. And process time is totally depends on immigration Department, assalam aliakum

Hi,
Please note that if you are unable to enter Malaysia within the validity period. Your institution can apply for a VAL extension application once your VAL has expired. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Dear sir / madam,
My Val expires on 21st of October 2021. Due to the ban imposed by Malaysian government to students from certain countries including Sri Lanka, I will not be able to enter Malaysia. In addition considering the current surge in delta variant in Sri Lanka, it may not be possible to leave Sri Lanka I suppose.
