I heard from someone that if it takes way more than a month for your TA application to be approved it means that there might be some documents missing and you should contact your institution to make sure all your documents have been submitted

You don’t need Travel Pass it is for those with work visa. Students need Travel Authorisation Letter.

It has been stuck at 50% for 41 days and counting. I advice you to delay your flight.

It has been 47 days for me and I still didn’t get the TAL. It has been at 50% for 40 days. 😔

Dear EMGS officer
I have applied for travel authorisation letter since 28th of July. The progress has reached and remained at 50% for a month now. The delay is too long even if the immigration is operating at minimal head count. Please assist me with the matter as I have to return to conduct my research work.

Hi Fadi,

Please be informed that we have submitted your application to the Immigration Department on the 5th of August 2021 for their approval. Kindly note that there is no timeframe to complete the processing,. The approval is solely at the discretion of Immigraton Department.

I am a returning student from Sudan and have a valid visa until February next year.

Yes I have bought a ticket for 15 September 😞. I didn’t know it will take over a month. I had a previous TA which has expired. It didn’t take that long last time.

Dear EMGS
My travel authorisation application has been stuck at 50% since 5th of August. I know it is with the immigration department , can you please contact immigration to help accelerate the process. Our life is on hold because of the slow process.

Please note that the Immigration Department is operating with a minimal headcount. Therefore, we kindly seek your understanding that applications will be processed accordingly. Rest assured, the institution will be notified if there are further requirements.
