I asked them about this once on live chat and they said that “eVAL is used to apply for SEV” so obviously we can’t apply for it now. I’m also an October intake student, I’ll be doing bachelors of science

yeah that’s what it says on the websites too…i’m just getting real nervous because it’s stuck on 35% …ah that nice i’ve got a friend there who’s doing a bachelors of science too…where are you from if you don’t mind me asking ?

I’m not sure but I guess that your application is supposed to be 35% green before u get ur eVAL and after getting an eVAL it just directly goes upto 70% green. So we have to just wait for now.

No, there is a student option also and you need to have VAL to apply for student SEV

@Sadman Wait…what’s the difference between eVISA and eVAL? Are they two different things? Or does eVISA means the same as SEV? Sorry I don’t know much about this.

@Dilni SEV is applied after getting ur eVAL. SEV takes around 2 days. Btw what course you’ll be doing at Monash Malaysia?

for some reason there is not a reply button for your previous message, I don’t think you are at correct website for SEV as there should be only 3 option Tourist, Expatriate, and Student. Use this website as this the official website from gov instead of using any other 3rd party website.

Yes, eVisa and eVal are different as VAL is Visa Approval Letter only few nationalities can enter the country with it and all the other nationalities require a Singe Entry Visa (SEV) to enter the Country it is called eVisa cause your not getting a visa sticker on your passport from your local Malaysian embassy rather Online that is why it is…[Read more]

when i go to select the purpose of stay it gives the option of business, official matters and tour…my dad is trying to apply for sev for the family could that be the issue? should i creat my own account ?

i’m provided with the options for business, official matters and tour visa…so tour visa would be the one to apply for right?
