I am not entirely sure if hotel booking is acceptable.

Email your university the details of your accommodation, either inside the university or outside. The rules depend on your university, they might require a Tenancy Agreement as proof before they submit a Declararation of Accommodation to EMGS.

I suggest you call or email your university ASAP for your DoA.

Have you finished your application? You may email EMGS but send only one inquiry and wait for their response. It may take several days before they reply.

Mine was submitted in immigration last September 14th. No eVAL yet.
